Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching certification/licensure for the Visually Impaired
- Experience working with K-12 students in an itinerant capacity
- Knowledge of Braille, assistive technology, and adaptive instructional strategies
- Strong communication, collaboration, and case management skills
- Flexibility to travel within the assigned area
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative instruction and support to visually impaired students across multiple school sites
- Adapt curriculum and materials to meet individual student needs
- Coordinate and collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Advocate for students and ensure compliance with special education regulations
