Key Qualifications:
- Valid California license in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology
- Fulfillment of state requirements for Assistive Technology professionals—formal degree or recognized credentials essential
- Demonstrated experience working in a school environment, preferably with K-12 students
- Expertise in evaluation, implementation, and ongoing support of assistive technology tools
- Strong collaboration skills for partnering with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ assistive technology needs
- Recommend, procure, and implement appropriate AT devices and software for individual learning environments
- Provide ongoing training and support for students and staff to maximize effective technology uptake and use
- Develop and maintain clear documentation, reports, and progress notes per district and regulatory standards
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing specialized insights and making informed recommendations for student success
