Qualifications and Requirements:
- Current California Assistive Technology Specialist license (required)
- Background in special education and demonstrated proficiency in assistive technology
- Experience training and supporting staff with the use of AT devices
- Comfort working onsite with diverse caseloads across multiple locations
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to students and educators regarding assistive technology
- Assess learner needs and recommend appropriate AT devices and solutions
- Conduct staff training sessions on the effective use and integration of AT tools
- Collaborate with special education teachers and other professionals to ensure smooth transitions and compliance with IEP goals
- Document, monitor, and follow up on student progress with technology solutions
